Dear Parents,

As recommendations regarding COVID-19 are modified, Big Steps has begun to re-evaluate and update center procedures.  Please take the time to read through the following information for important updates as we do our best to provide quality childcare while working to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Beginning June 1st (the Tuesday after Memorial Day), we will be allowing parents to enter the building when picking up their child/ren in the afternoon.  During this week, we will continue to have a staff member meet you at the door when dropping off your child/ren in the morning.  Our intention is to ease the transition for parents and children alike – many families started at Big Steps during the last year, and this transition week will allow new families to discover and old families to rediscover the classrooms during the more relaxed afternoon pick-up time.

The following week, the week of June 7th, parents will be allowed to enter the building at both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.

For the continued safety of all, parents will be required to wear a mask and sanitize their hands upon entry to the building.  Disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be available in the entryway.

Please be brief while inside the building and try to limit the number of parents in each classroom at a time.  To avoid long pick-ups and drop-offs, please continue to email any schedules or other updates to the office (or send messages to your child’s teacher on ClassTag).   In addition, as we are spending more time outside with the warmer weather the children may be outside during pick up time.  Please gather any belongings from their classroom before going to get them from the playground.

We are EXCITED to show you all the fun additions we have made in the last year, be on the look out for murals from your favorite children’s book in the classrooms and hallway!

If you have any questions or concerns, or need a reminder of your door code, please contact the office for help.

Thank you,

BSLF Management Team
